Cross-country skiing
With approx. 100 km of trails, the region around Sterzing is perfect for the cross-country skiing enthusiast.
An insiders’ tip is the "Pfitscher Hochtal valley" area which has developed in the past few years into a real treasure for cross-country skiers. The 25 km of perfectly prepared trails in the area offer a great variety of cross-country skiing, leading across wide meadows and through peaceful forests.
There are further cross-country trails available in the Ridnaun, Ratschings and Pflersch valleys. There is also the possibility of a trail in Wiesen depending on the snow cover.
